Take a Slippery Ride
Sonoran Splash is a 6,000 square foot water recreation
area with a bell tower where two water slides begin, taking
riders on a slippery and fun ride into the swimming pool
below. The slides are two of the longest resort water
slides in Arizona at 186 feet and 199 feet. Other features,
at this free-form style swimming pool include; zero entry
graduated deck area for small children to play in shallow
water, water fountains, waterspouts and shallow coves
for playing and splashing, comfortable deck areas for
lounging and relaxing and eight private cabanas with electric
and phone capabilities.
Movies Under the Stars
Returning this summer to The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
is the signature weekend Dive-In Movies. On Friday and
Saturday evenings the action starts when the sun goes
down and the large screen goes up at the South Pool allowing
guests to watch movies poolside or in the water. Round
water tubes and colorful floats are provided for guests
of all ages to kick back, relax and enjoy the exciting
family classics such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate
Factory or recent favorites such as "Shrek 2."
Evening barbecues and theater snacks are also available
poolside at Cabana Café. (Dates subject to change)
Cool to Be a Kid
Kids Club is an energetic, supervised program designed
for children ages 5 to 12 years of age and includes such
activities as scavenger hunts, potato sack races, hula-hoop
contests, games, books, movies, swimming, lagoon fishing
and much more. The Kid's Club program is now available
seven days a week, year round and is complimentary for
guests overnighting at the hotel! Children participating
in the full day programs will receive lunch and an afternoon
snack and a $12 food cost (per child) will apply. Registration
is required for Kid's Club and will be available at Kid's
Club from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily or by calling the Kid's
Club extension at 7185. All calls or messages made after
regular Kid's Club hours will be returned by a Kid's Club
counselor prior to the start of the next day's session.
"Hang Out" Room for
Teens
NEW to the resort is our ultra-trendy, Teen "Hang
Out" room located next to The Fairmont Fitness Center.
The Hang Out room boasts a music room for listening to
the latest Top 100 Hits, a big screen TV for watching
DVDs, a Cyber Café for checking email or chatting
with friends back home, refreshment center and snack area,
four X Box stations that play your favorite video games
and of course plenty of couches and chairs for just "hanging
out." The Hang Out room is available to children
ages 13 and up between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10p.m.
Outdoor Fun for the Whole Family:
Join us at the lagoon lawn for a variety of outdoor games
and activities, including bocce ball, lawn bowling, putt-putt
green, and badminton and volleyball nets. Games and equipment
are available 24 hours and lawn areas are lit for night
play. Test your luck by casting your rod into our catch-and-release
pond. Be sure to bring something for them to nibble on.
Don't forget our basketball hoop and ping-pong table located
at the upper East Deck of the South Pool!!
